Backlog

Product Backlog Refinement

  • As per team, we will have a Product Backlog Refinement meeting, where we will groom the backlog with the team.
  • All stakeholders will attend the meeting.
  • Everyone will share their thoughts and ensure they understand the backlog and requirements.
  • All kinds of feature discussions and requirement clarifications will be discussed here.
  • If some requirements or PBIs need more time, they will be moved to the next meeting for discussion.
  • The team will estimate here, following T-shirt sizing or Fibonacci series.
  • The PM will follow prioritization practices to prioritize the backlog, such as Impact-Effort, SWOT, MoSCoW, and more.

Sprint Backlog

  • Following the priority, PBIs will move to the sprint backlog
  • Here the team will take tasks that they believe they can do in the particular sprints.
  • Here the team can plan multiple sprints or the team can move tasks for one sprint.

Sprint

  • Sprint can be 1/2/4 weeks. Most teams use 1/2 week sprints.
  • Started from Monday to Friday.
  • Facilitating Scrum artifacts and Scrum ceremonies.

Sprint Planning

  • At the start of the sprint, there will be a Sprint plan where the team will check their tasks for the sprint and plan again to make a sprint goal.
  • The team will ensure they understand the tasks, requirements, and dependencies.
  • The team can plan their approach to achieve the sprint goal.

Daily Standup Meeting (DSM)

  • DSM will be 15 minutes or less.
  • DSM location: meet link.
  • Time: the team will decide on a common time when most of them can participate.
  • Each team member will share 3 pieces of information:
    • What did you do yesterday?
    • What will you do today?
    • Any blockers?
    • A bonus question: How is your mood today?
  • Any blockages, impediments, or discussions will take place in another meeting with the required team member.
  • The DSM facilitator will share the Kanban board screen, and each of the attendees will refer to the information on the board.

  • Showing progress/working software/works is a must.
  • Stakeholders will share feedback; the team will take the feedback and improve/change their work accordingly.
  • All of them will revisit the roadmap and ensure the team is following it.

Sprint Retrospective

  • They will share:
    • What was well in the sprint
    • What went wrong
    • What we could do better
    • What I learnt

  • Generating reports to measure product performance and team performance

  • It requires 2-3 sprints to know the velocity or capability of the team
